Well, this is the first Critique I've written, so I'll do my best.
Vision: Honestly, its a really high rating from me because the color scheme is rather pleasing to the eye. Her facial expression is intense, just like her.
Originality: I see so many Rainbow Dash wallpaper-like art that honestly, its getting old. Though, all the ones I've seen have looked nice, they're so similar.
Technique: Well.. its hard for me to explain. Its not the best, but its not awful.
Impact: Not very high seeing as I'm used to seeing these. Though, like I said, it looks nice.
Either way, I still like it. Keep up the good work!
Just threw this together, eh? Well hmmmf. I don't know why but I'm sadly stuck with my wallpapers. I have no idea what to do next / what style to use / how to do it... I just, arrrgggghhhh - can't be creative right now for some reason. Sorry, I probably shouldn't be posting this as a comment here, but I just need to tell someone.
^^ I in no means expect you to answer to any of that, or even give it a second thought. =S On to what I was GOING to say... That's an awesome wallpaper! I love it! Fantastic job, Vexx, and I really like the text there. Just one question for you - are you using PS CS6 now, or still 5?
Well, one thing that I know helps stimulate creativity is outside activities. I don't know how much you do already, but that may help. I really don't mind at all that you posted it here. ^^
And thanks, I'm glad you like it. I know it doesn't score very high when it comes to originality, but I feel a bit uninspired lately.
I'm still using CS5 for now. Not too sure about switching just yet.
Thanks for that. Lately I've been out more than usual... So I'm not sure how that has countered my creativity. I think I'm just going to have to let it sort itself out.
And yes, I'm not too sure about switching yet either. Mainly because I don't have the money to do so, but also it looked like (from the beta I tried) they changed a few things in the layer styles menu. I prefer the way it's laid out in CS5 somehow. But they may have changed it in the final release. Those added blur options are very tempting for me, though...
The big reason I'm reluctant to switch over is the bugs. I've heard from people that it crashes a lot (not sure if it's been fixed).
Another reason is that instead of just using whatever brushes are in the "Brushes" folder, you also have to load each and every one of them into Photoshop. And I have over 240 brushes.
Oh, wow. Those are two very good reasons not to switch yet!
Did you make all those brushes or get them from somewhere? (I'm looking to get more brushes, but I'm not sure where to get them / exactly how to make them.) << Don't feel obligated to help me with this though, I can find my own if need be.
