I have seen that Vector like a hundred times, mostly because Octavia is freaking awesome though ^_^ I love the lighting touches on her arms and at the action point at her bow. Beautiful! If it was in Gray, Purple, White colors it would be perfect. Maybe even deepen the watercolor sheet music in the background so it is more visible.
One thing I wish I had the talent to do myself is to fix her cello. Everything about her is perfect on this vector, but her poor cello is so block shaped. It's headpiece looks like a metronome fell on top of it lol.
This wallpaper is pretty cool, although I have seen various like this one. I'd say the originality is a little used, but the colors and font of the Octavia are different. I love the dark pink/ purple combination, I almost see a little touch in wine. Otherwise from that I've seen another one but in brown and dirt color. I can see future for you in wallpapers and I think you should keep on doing what you love, cause I liked this one, and It's going to be my wallpaper for some time! in conclusion, keep doing these, people will love them.
Duuuuuude. I love it. Do you do tutorials? I looked through all your stuff, and now know how much harder I have to work. If you don't do tutorials (which I am pretty sure you don't) can you point me towards some good ones? Especially one lighting and blending colours, which is probably the best thing about what you do. If you could help a brother out, that would be awesome.
I don't have any tutorials at the moment, though I've considered it. To be honest, most of my recent color blending has been thanks to various stocks and other resources, but I try to bring everything together in such a way that it doesn't appear so.
I do plan on experimenting with my own color blending, though. Been in a bit of a block.
Alright, that's cool. Well I am watching, so I will know when you do upload one, if ever. I have to say though, It is hard to find tutorials one the subject. Usually, most tutorials are for specific outcomes, and don't cover the elements of digital artwork. Hell, most of the time I have to go read books to get a better understanding of composition and such.
Well, As I said I will be watching, and again, awesome work, and good luck on that block. My recommendation for when I am stuck or looking for something new to try, is to go watch PMVs and AMVs. Some of the editing effects translate nicely.
My dad used to try and get me to read books and I just couldn't do it. I actually don't really have any formal education on graphic design at all, just a basic idea of what should or shouldn't be done.
I actually have gotten some of my ideas from music videos, PMVs, etc., so that's not a bad idea.
Beautiful. Point blank. Its hard putting into words what I think, but just know it all revolves around beautiful.
The pink mist-like gives such a soft touch, and the lights bring it to ethereal life. Its just... you can FEEL the passion by looking at it. Bravo, dude or dudette.
Absolute perfect colors to compliment Octavia and vice-versa. Incredible music combined with beautiful glows of orange, red, and magenta; reminds me of Samantha James
